TIM HAMILTON REDUX

REDUX Spring 2011 draws its inspiration from the look of the grunge scene of the American Northwest, as reinterpreted by the young men in the just-liberated Warsaw of the early nineties. Silhouettes counter pose long and cropped–tunic-shaped and abbreviated jersey tees pair with carrot-fit and clean, narrow leg trousers. The palette mixes soft, faded colors with rich blacks, gray and oatmeal heathers. Classic Tim Hamilton stripes get a new sun bleached treatment, alongside blanched checks and color blocks; this is graphic Tim Hamilton blanched and mellowed. Core materials include Japanese dry cotton jersey, cotton duafolds, linen-blend terrycloth, compact fine twills and PVC-coated cottons, plus vinyl pocketing. Think: industrial lounge, the look of early nineties life on the terraces of Warsaw’s concrete tower blocks, nattily updated to the New York-Tokyo-Paris standard.

What a great morning we had while shooting the Patrick Mohr SS11 collection for the BOYS BOYS BOYS online shop. Philip André took the pictures of Daniel on the roof top of an old WWII bunker in the center of Hamburg St. Pauli including great weather and a breathtaking view.

Croatian born avant-garde designer Damir Doma presents with Silent his second line. With a focus on wearability Damir created a look that is pure, beautifully finished and, as the brands name indicates, quiet. It’s everyday pieces to fall in love with, just because of their effortless pureness.
