Last Saturday we invited Adriano Sack, co-founder of the online platform I LIKE MY STYLE and editor in chief of I LIKE MY STYLE magazine. We had a great afternoon, you’ll find some impressions shot by our friend Andreas Schlieter further below. REDUX Spring 2011 draws its inspiration from the look of the grunge scene of the American Northwest, as reinterpreted by the young men in the just-liberated Warsaw of the early nineties. Silhouettes counter pose long and cropped–tunic-shaped and abbreviated jersey tees pair with carrot-fit and clean, narrow leg trousers. The palette mixes soft, faded colors with rich blacks, gray and oatmeal heathers. Classic Tim Hamilton stripes get a new sun bleached treatment, alongside blanched checks and color blocks; this is graphic Tim Hamilton blanched and mellowed. Core materials include Japanese dry cotton jersey, cotton duafolds, linen-blend terrycloth, compact fine twills and PVC-coated cottons, plus vinyl pocketing. Think: industrial lounge, the look of early nineties life on the terraces of Warsaw’s concrete tower blocks, nattily updated to the New York-Tokyo-Paris standard.
